The palace is located along one of Venice's most famous streets, which leads from the Santa Lucia train station to the Ponte di Rialto. Here, overlooking the Strada Nuova, stands the Ca' Gottardi between the Vendramin Calergi palace, today the home of the Casinò Municipale, where Richard Wagner died in 1883, and Ca' d'Oro, the most splendid example of gothic architecture in Venice, and today the home of an important art collection.
Located in one of the most lively areas of Venice, with many restaurants serving local dishes, small wine bars and boutiques, Ca' Gottardi guests are just steps away from the Ghetto di Venice, the Ponte di Rialto and St. Mark's Square.

HOW TO GET THERE

From the Santa Lucia train station or the Piazzale Roma:
Ca' Gottardi can be quickly reached from the train station and Piazzale Rome (Car Term) by taking water bus no. 1, at the Ca' D'Oro stop. From the waterbus stop the hotel is only a one-minute walk.

You can also take a watertaxi. We recommend taking only licensed taxis which can be recognized by the yellow stripe along the side of the boat and a number, and to agree upon a fare prior to boarding.

From the Venice Marco Polo Airport:
Take the Alilaguna shuttle service from the airport to St. Mark's Square or Fondamente Nuove, and continue on foot from there. It is preferable to get off at the Fondamenta Nuove stop, as it is easier to reach the Ca' Gottardi from there.
You can also take the shuttlebus service (ACTV or ATVO) to Piazzale Roma and then take waterbus no. 1 to the Ca' D'Oro stop, and then proceed on foot as described above.
